Al Harrington's voice — so deep, so smooth, so serious — makes Barry White sound like Betty White. When Harrington speaks, there's a resonance of importance. So, after the Nuggets lost Sunday's heartbreaker to the Los Angeles Clippers, Harrington's strong voice made his strong words echo.

DENVER — While baseball is a concert, it is essentially nine innings of solo performances. Despite the Rockies’ dismal 2011 season, there were still players who delivered outstanding performances. The local chapter of Baseball Writers Association of American announced its Rockies’ winners today. They were as follows: Player of the Year: shortstop Troy Tulowitzki Pitcher
