Avalanche announce time changes to 2011-12 schedule
The Avs put out a release today announcing five puck-drop changes to the upcoming season. Nothing drastic. Here they are (all times MT): Wed, Oct. 26 at Calgary (from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.) Tue, Nov. 15 at Pittsburgh (from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m.) Wed, Nov. 23 Vancouver (from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m.) Sat, Nov. 26

Denver Nuggets release preseason schedule
Though it's unlikely the lockout will end by this time, NBA teams released their preseason schedule today – and the Nuggets are set to have their first game on Oct 10 in Hidalgo, Texas, against the Houston Rockets. The Nuggets have seven preseason games scheduled, including two at the Pepsi Center: Oct. 16 versus Minnesota
