World-class cycling returns to Colorado with USA Pro Challenge prologue
They lined Colorado Avenue here Monday as if it were a victory parade. In a way, it was. International pro cycling stage races returned to Colorado for the first time since 1988, and a cycling-crazed state turned out as though welcoming home its favorite recreational sport.

For what it's worth, Malone getting online attention with Avs
Former North Dakota standout Brad Malone is one of 18 forwards listed on the Avalanche’s website roster, and just one of two rookie centers or wingers on a very premature list. Malone and 2011 No. 1 draft pick Gabriel Landeskog are among six new forwards on the roster who have yet to been assigned sweater

Richard Quinn waived, likely headed to injured reserve
The Broncos announced Monday that third-year tight end Richard Quinn has been waived with a knee injury. It Quinn clears waivers, he will be placed on the Broncos’ injured reserve list, ending his season. Quinn hurt his knee in a practice during the first two weeks of training camp and was unable to return. Quinn

To find Alex White's locker at Coors Field, take a left and head back to the corner. He's hard to miss, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing about 225 pounds.

Tim Tebow didn't play much Saturday night, but his FRS energy drink ad certainly did. Nothing against the ad, which played relentlessly on the local telecast of the Broncos' preseason victory over Buffalo. As energy drink ads go, it's a pretty good one.
