The Joakim Lindstrom Era in Avalanche team history is over. Rather than accept an assignment to Lake Erie, after being placed on waivers yesterday by the Burgundy and Blue, Lindstrom is heading back to his native Sweden to pursue hockey employment there. Lindstrom can’t say he wasn’t given a chance by Joe Sacco and Co.
