Before the NHL's board of governors in Pebble Beach, Calif., on Monday night approved a realignment plan, one might think possible changes would have been a hot topic in the Avalanche dressing room after practice. One would be wrong.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said today the Colorado Avalanche will move to a new division next season. The NHL next year will go to a four "conference" setup, with 16 teams in each.
