SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Avalanche flew home late last night after its 5-4 loss against the Sharks and isn’t scheduled to practice today. Thus, we probably won’t know if Semyon Varlamov or J.S. With more money and less restraint, the Rockies landed their top offseason target, agreeing in principle Friday on a three-year, $31.5 million deal with outfielder Michael Cuddyer.
