Denver Public Schools posted significant gains in on-time graduation rates last year, according to data released Friday by the Colorado Department of Education. By the most basic, bottom-line measure, DPS out-performed the statewide average for growth rates, but the growth at DPS still means that the district's overall graduation levels lag far behind the statewide average.

Sears to close Westminster Mall store
