This weekend is your last chance to go head to head with the mighty T. rex in "T. Rex Encounter" at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The bilingual, kid-focused exhibit guides guests through a Cretaceous period environment, complete with robotic dinosaurs that can "see" visitors coming. Watch out for the wily velociraptors and a protective Triceratops mother—and be aware that a T. rex at the end is watching all the while. After escaping the fierce dinos, check out a replica of "Sue," a T. rex skeleton discovered in 1990, and learn more about life in Cretaceous times. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sunday. Heads up, science fans: TV's "Mythbusters" visit the Budweiser Events Center in the only Colorado stop on their first-ever live tour. The show features the Mythbusters themselves, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, as they discuss and debunk urban legends and rumors with onstage experiments. Audience participation is key, and some fans will get to join the duo in their investigations. It matters little if you go to the DocNight screening of "Still" before or after a visit to Denver's newest jewel of an addition, the Clyfford Still Museum. Because l0cal filmmakers Amie Knox and Chad Herschberger's documentary about the American Abstract Expresssionist acts as thoughtful tutorial to newbies and a rich reminder to those more in the know of Still's complex approach to life and the art world. The documentary, showing Thursday night at theDenver FilmCenter/Colfax, is also lovely to look at. Seeing it on a big screen is an opportunity worth seizing.
