Copper Mountain has come up with a novel idea that harkens back to those magical snow days of your youth: the Snow Day Pass. Pay $99, and every time Copper gets 4 or more inches of snow (over 30 times per year on average), you get to shred. There are no blackout dates, and the pass guarantees riding on Super Bowl Sunday (2/5/12) and Closing Day (4/15/12). Holders also get two Friend & Family tickets available for just $69.  Time to Learn
January is "Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month," and Colorado Ski Country USA and its member resorts are inviting beginner skiers and snowboarders of all ages to pick up Colorado's signature winter sports. Lesson deals and specials on learning packages abound all month, from discounted first-time lessons to beginner program packages, complete with hotel accommodations. Nearly every CSCUSA member resort is offering a lesson promotion during January, which is an ideal time, as most of the holiday visitors have left and beginner runs have ample space for learners to practice their turns.
