Good and bad news for the Broncos. Offensive coordinator Mike McCoy did not get the head coaching job with Miami Dolphins. Instead it went to Green Bay Packer offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, according to NFL sources. Philbin thus experienced the ultimate life low and career high within a week’s time. Philbin’s son Michael was found

Kevin Slowey reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro this week but never pitched for the Rockies at 5,280 feet.

Rockies trade Slowey to Indians, pushing to acquire Scutaro
Kevin Slowey climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, but he never reached the 5,280 feet summit at Coors Field. With a stockpile of young starters, the Rockies traded the right-hander to Cleveland today for reliever 24-year-old reliever Zach Putnam. Slowey was acquired at the winter meetings. Moving his salary frees the Rockies to more aggressively pursue a trade
