Today's Sports Headlines

Wow! Cardinal survives in thriller
Stepfan Taylor ran for the tying touchdown with 38 seconds left in regulation and the go-ahead score in the third overtime, and Stanford's defense preserved its 16-game winning streak by forcing Curtis McNeal's fumble into the end zone to finish a 56-48 victory over No. 20 Southern California on Saturday night.

Today's Avalanche

Mark Kiszla: Matt Duchene, coach Joe Sacco are Avalanche's odd couple
The Avalanche can't figure out what to do with center Matt Duchene, whose star has lost a little luster at the tender age of 20, when his impatience for success has collided with coach Joe Sacco's frustration. It's not pretty.

Oilers' Sutton suspended for cheap shot elbow to Landeskog
Edmonton Oilers defenseman Andy Sutton was suspended today by the NHL for his blindside cheap shot elbow to the head of Avs rookie Gabriel Landeskog last night. Scot Willoughby: Great Alaskan fishery faces crippling threat
It's hard to believe 20 years have passed since the greatest summer of my life. But that's the harsh reality.

Today's Rockies

Cardinals' Albert Pujols faces tough decision
Confetti swirling in the air, his son by his side, Albert Pujols quietly made his way to the stage. As Pitbull's "Give Me Everything (Tonight)" blared throughout the stadium, Pujols did the unthinkable. He busted a move.
