Canucks rally again, beat Avs in Denver
Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo did it again. He held the Canucks together with some magnificent play and watched as his teammates rally to beat the Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. Luongo made 44 saves in a 3-2 shootout win on Feb. 4 and produced 38 saves tonight in a 3-2 overtime triumph. On Feb. 4,

There were several times during the 439 days that passed between the time he took his last meaningful snap for the Colts and when he signed his new contract with the Broncos that Peyton Manning couldn't help but wonder if his career might be over.

Boston College shuts out Air Force in NCAA hockey tournament
Top-ranked Boston College showed off its lockdown defense against the Air Force hockey team. Chris Kreider scored two goals and Parker Milner stopped 20 shots Saturday, leading Boston College to a 2-0 win over the Falcons in the Northeast Regional.

Nuggets coach George Karl called Saturday a talk-through, walk-through day. The subject was defense. It has been the Nuggets' biggest shortcoming this season and their most confounding.
