Denver Zoo volunteer nipped by gator
A volunteer at the Denver Zoo was bitten on the hand by an alligator after a "lapse in judgment" while preparing the gator for an education program. The 20-year volunteer, whose name was not released by the zoo, suffered puncture wounds on his right hand and was taken by ambulance to an undisclosed hospital.

Arvada mom arrested for handcuffing daughter over Facebook post
A mother is facing misdemeanor charges for handcuffing her 14-year-old daughter after an early morning fight last Sunday, 9Wants to Know has learned.

Officials: 7 coyotes killed in Broomfield in last two weeks
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials this week announced that officers killed seven coyotes in Broomfield's Anthem neighborhood in the past two weeks in response to a string of coyote attacks on children in the area.
