Three White House officials were told about the existence of a gun-trafficking investigation in Arizona that led to the replacement of the administration's top firearms official, according to newly disclosed e-mails the Justice Department sent to Congress this week.

Rogers Clemens to go on trial again on federal lying under oath charges
A federal judge ruled Friday that Roger Clemens must face another trial on charges of lying about drug use, although the judge criticized prosecutors' mishandling of evidence during a July mistrial and questioned the fairness of making the seven-time Cy Young Award winner pay to defend himself twice.
