Jamie McGinn scores two goals to lift Avs past Minnesota
Newly-acquired forward Jamie McGinn scored two first-period goals for the Avalanche as it rebounded quickly from Saturday night's tough home loss, grabbing a 2-0 win versus the fast-fading Wild.

No word on Downie 'til tomorrow
Usually, the Avalanche is quick with results of medical issues regarding players, but not in the case of right wing Steve Downie. The Avs say a prognosis on Downie won’t come tomorrow now. He hurt a shoulder in Saturday’s game with Pittsburgh. One thing is for sure: he won’t be playing tomorrow against Minnesota. Newcomer
