Best Bets this week

Summer flicks for the kiddos

Movies

Weekdays through Aug. 3. It's one of the best places to cool off in the summer: the movie theater. Families can make it a weekly habit at Summer Movie Fun for Kids at theHarkins Northfield 18 cinema.

A different, just-for-kids movie screens each week at the theater, starting with "Happy Feet Two" on Monday. Tickets to the show are only $2, or buy a $5 "season ticket" that's good for every movie over the summer. Upcoming films include "Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!", "Kung Fu Panda 2" and "Rio."

Keep in mind that kids must be accompanied by a grownup — and vice versa. 9:45 a.m.

Mondays through Fridays, through Aug. 3. Harkins Northfield 18 Theatres, 8300 E. Northfield Blvd.; 720-374-3118. Season tickets are $5; individual show tickets are $2. harkinstheatres.com
