Manning on Seau: A once-in-a-lifetime player
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning today called Junior Seau one of the most dominating defensive player he ever faced. Seau died Wednesday in an apparent suicide. He was 43 years old. Manning was a rookie in 1998, midway through Seau’s Hall of Fame-worthy career. Manning released a lengthy statement today about Seau. It reads, in full:

Yep. After two games, 7-foot Lakers center Pau Gasol has 13 assists, while Denver's starting point guard Ty Lawson has nine.

Weaver pitches no-hitter, Angels beat Twins 9-0
ANAHEIM, Calif.—Jered Weaver pitched the second no-hitter in the majors in less than two weeks, completely overmatching Minnesota and leading the Los Angeles Angels to a 9-0 win over the Twins on Wednesday night.

Chacin expected to make next start, because Rockies' Triple-A arms need more time
Timing is everything -- and the only thing keeping Jhoulys Chacin in the rotation. Chacin is expected to start Monday in San Diego because the preferred replacements aren't ready.
