Nuggets: Supporting cast helps L.A. cause
Before Sunday's Game 1, Nuggets coach George Karl discussed his fear factor of the X-factor. Karl knew all-stars Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum would likely put up big numbers (they did) but worried that a secondary player would change the course of the game (plenty did).

Grading the NFL draft: Denver Broncos double down on defense
It was a draft with a capital D, as in Defense. The Broncos used four of their seven picks on defense, including their first pick of the draft — Cincinnati defensive tackle Derek Wolfe — in the second round (36th overall).

Today's Rockies

Broncos' Peyton Manning enjoys Coors Field as a Rockies fan
During a visit to Coors Field for the Rockies game Sunday, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had one big question: What was outfielder Michael Cuddyer doing occupying his locker?

All Things Rockies

Broncos QB Peyton Manning thanks Rockies, talks baseball and Todd Helton
That was one of the stories Peyton Manning shared today before the Mets-Rockies game at Coors Field. Manning, along with Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker, watched the Rockies taking batting practice. In fact, Decker, a big-time baseball player at the University of Minnesota, participated in BP.

Mark Kiszla

Kiszla: Disappearing act by Nuggets' Ty Lawson
Anybody seen Ty Lawson? Did he miss the team bus? Go for a long walk on the beach and forget there was an NBA playoff game? Some imposter wearing his No. 3 uniform was introduced as the Nuggets point guard.
