We’ll give the Avalanche players, coaches and management one last moral-victory, we-tried-hard-but excuse. Really, arguably, they didn’t deserve another one this year. They had a very good chance to make the playoffs down the stretch, but let’s face it: they blew it. All they really had to do, in hindsight, was take care of business

Big Bad John Elway will lead a Broncos’ contingent today to Arizona State University where they will give a personal workout to Long Tall Brock Osweiler. Broncos coach John Fox, offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, quarterbacks coach Adam Gase and general manager Brian Xanders are expected to join Elway on the trip to Tempe. The 6-foot-8

Danilo Gallinari stayed after practice for more than an hour today getting his work in, going through shooting, ball-handling and defensive practice. He is closing in on a return. Still, his return will not be tomorrow against the Suns or at any point in the remainder of this week. The Nuggets forward, however, is targeting
